Program Overview

Our program is designed to suit any rider interested in the sport of dressage. Whether that interest is in the competition arena, or simply to learn dressage to become a more beneficial rider, if you love dressage and horses our program is for you!

We offer lessons to a range of levels, ages, and abilities and provide well-schooled dressage horses and well fitted tack for each horse. Competitive opportunities are available to those that seek it.

We offer private, semi-private, and group lessons depending on the type of membership you choose. Each membership includes a free horsemanship class each week, as well as the lesson type of your choosing.

We teach lessons Tuesday-Saturday. When you enroll, we find a suitable time for you, our instructor, and our school horse. Beginner students receive private lessons to ensure they build a solid foundation. Once they are skilled enough, they are allowed to ride in semi-private lessons with other students their age and ability. This helps students build strong friendships within the community, while also working with others that are achieving similar goals to them. Alternatively, you may opt for 45 minute private lessons from the start, or continuing forward!

Equine Education Classes are held every Saturday at 11am. The topic changes each week and is posted on our facebook page at the beginning of every month. Students should make attending equine education classes a priority. Not only do these classes accelerate rider progress in the saddle, it also gives students valuable information that can help them make safe, educated, and informed decisions while working with any horse. Information taught in these classes are also required in order to level up within the program and earn privileges in the academy.

Students always have guidance from our levels-based curriculum. Each student can track their own progress and goals on our online rider board. As students progress, they are recognized for their success at awards cermonies, along with consistent recognition on our Student Success Board posted in the barn.

Following our curriculum ensures no student has any "holes" in their riding, and that they build a solid foundation that keeps them safe, educated, and well rounded equestrians.

Our expectation of students is that in addition to saddle time, they are also required to effectively work with their horse on the ground, and have knowledge of how to care for their horse as well.

Twice annually, instructors have goal setting sessions with each student where we discuss goals, weaknesses, and create a custom plan to achieve success. Not only does this teach our riders the value of hard work, it also teaches them work ethic and responsibility.

Horsemanship and Riding programs are available to both adults and children.

The program combines mandatory weekly group or private riding lessons and participation in the Equine Education Class.

Riding lessons are taught in groups of no more than 4, for 45 minutes. Beginner lessons are private until they have enough skill to join a group lesson with other riders their age and ability. You may also elect to have private 45 minute lessons by enrolling in a private membership.

Professional instructors teach the fundamentals of dressage and hunt seat riding using a comprehensive curriculum that ensures consistency across all riding levels, and also referring to the dressage training pyramid.

As students progress, they earn privileges, like leasing, showing, beach rides, and more.

We provide the horse, instructor, equipment for the horse, and a safe environment. Your welcome packet has guidelines that will help you pick appropriate rider attire.
